Friends and Birthdays

We had another fun and exciting weekend! Chuck was able to get out and do some snowmobiling on Friday night with some friends. I left work early so he could leave right away- I think he was anxious to get out! Saturday we went to louie and sonja's to celebrate louie and brian's birthdays. Louie turned 68 (he's chuck's uncle) and brian turned 50 (Chuck's cousin). The food of course was great like usual and the company was fun. Beau was able to see his cousins and his auntie Carol. Today Beau and I went over to Joni's to scrap for the day. Joni finished up an album she made for her brother and his wife of their wedding and I was able to get 5 pages done. By the time we were getting ready to go, Beau finally noticed his girlfriend and we were able to snap some cute pictures of them together.
Hopefully the nice weather keeps up! It's giving me spring fever!!
We also had some very exciting news today...the old ugly bronco has left the field! My prayers have been answered!! A guy came and bought it today! Yahoo!
Have a good night~until next time...

All Smiles!

Wow, it's been a couple of weeks since our last update! Things in the Richardson household are going swell. Beau had his two month check up and shots two weeks ago. He's growing like a little weed! He now weighs almost 11 lbs! He did very well with the shots and is a healthy little baby!
Terra and I took Beau to his first scrapbooking trip last weekend. It's a good thing terra drove because the car was packed! You would have never guessed we were only staying one night! Beau was very good and I was actually able to get 4 pages done! Yahoo! While we were away, Chuck was able to go ice fishing, which he informed me he was happy to have a weekend of no responsibilities! Chuck and Beau have been hanging out everyday and have been busy keeping things good on the home front. Chuck makes it very easy for me to come home, relax and hang out with my boys after work- I'm very thankful for him and his help!
Last night Chuck and I went moonlight bowling for my company Christmas party. We had a lot of fun and bowled pretty well considering neither one of us had bowled in quite a long time! I think probably since we were on league in the cities! Chuck's sister Carol and her two girls, Amanda and Lizzie watched Beau while we were out. He was a good little baby :) (I only called once to check on him even though it was hard being a way! But he was in good hands!) It was good for Chuck and I to get out together!
Well, Chuck is just itching to play a game of monopoly- I guess I'd better get my butt upstairs so I can win! LOL!
Have a good week!

Fiesta, Food, Family, Fun AND FINGERS!!

Well, I survived my first week back at work, BARELY!! It was a rough week, but we all managed. Beau was fussy for Chuck the first couple of days, which was to be expected since we are all on a new schedule now and mommy isn't home. When I wasn't calling home, Daddy and Beau called me. By the it was Friday, I was looking forward to the weekend and to spending time with the boys. Chuck and Beau had a lot of fun at daddy daycare this week- Chuck even introduced Beau to HomeDepot :)

Saturday morning Beau discovered his hands!! This was quite an experience for the little guy- he had to check them out completely! The look on his face was priceless! He just amazes us every day!

We were able to spend Saturday with my mom's side of the family. We had our Brandt Family Christmas party at my aunt Patti's house. It was a Mexican theme with a ton of tacos! For the gift exchange everyone was suppose to bring a white elephant gift or a gift $5 or less- these were quite interesting! Gifts ranged from Jamie's middle school shoes from her closet to stipper Dorthy. It was so funny! And of course we had to recognize the 50 year olds of the group that recently received their AARP cards in the mail and would soon be celebrating the big day! There were 4 of them! My aunties Jill and Bobbie were in on it with the help from my cousin Jamie. As my aunt Bobbie put it, they weren't roasting them, it was just a slight toasting! LOL! There were actually 6 of them celebrating the big day because they didn't let my parents slip through the cracks- although their birthdays were a couple of years ago (and they were the hippies of the group), the Kenny Chesney music was cranked up and they received new Mexican hats from the group. For those of you that don't know my parents, they have been to Mexico MANY times and this is their favorite vacation spot- so the gift was very appropriate!

Today will be a lazy day at our house and I'm really looking forward to a day of relaxation! I hope you all have a great week!

Beau's First Christmas!

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas! As you can imagine, we had the best Christmas yet! God Blessed us with a beautiful little boy this year! The best Christmas gift of all!

We got all of our Christmas shopping done last week and went out for dinner. Beau was a good baby for Gramma Richardson while she was babysitting. We didn't make it to a movie- I couldn't stand to be away that long!!

We enjoyed Christmas Eve with the Richardson side. We did our annual fonduing at Chuck's mom's house and opened gifts there. After that we headed over to Carol's house and opened more gifts and ate some more. Beau was spoiled with lots of love and gifts from everyone! The festivities stared around 3 and ended at 10!! By the end of the night we were all tired, but had a great time with everyone!

On Christmas day my parents come to our house and so we ate some more and opened gifts...beginning to see a pattern! :) (Love this time of year!) Mom and I enjoyed a scapping extravaganza on Friday while Dad and Chucker did their own thing. I think we scrapped for about 10 hours! I couldn't believe it! I got a lot done in Beau's book and mom got a jump start on some Beau pages for her book. Dad and Chucker ran into Rapids to pick up my Christmas gift from Chuck...an 8ft table for my scrapping room! I never would have guessed that Chuck would have gotten that for me- I guess he knows me all too well! I've wanted a table for so long! They brought it home and set it up and it wasn't too much longer that I was down there setting up shop :)

Sunday was a lazy day for me...Chuck went fishing with our brother in law Dan. He said the fish are really biting right now so they caught their limit and a nice size northern. I think he plans on getting a lot of fishing time in this week since he'll have his hands full for quite a while...

Only one more week and I'm off to work again. These last 6 weeks have flown by so fast...too fast! It's been the best time of my life and it's going to be very hard for me to go back. I woke up bright and early today so that I can get myself back into the swing of things of getting up early. Right now my schedule now consists of getting up, sitting on the couch with beau, watching TV, scrapping, eating, poking chuck (hehe) etc.

Have a great week everyone and Happy New Year!

A new friend for Beau!

Well, once again the week has flown by and I have no idea where the time has gone!! We are keeping ourselve busy and the little guy is keeping us on our toes :) He is smiling more and more and is really filling out! He continues to pretty much sleep thru the night- only getting up once or twice during the night which we are very grateful for :)
Today Beau and I went over to my friend Joni's house and he met her daughter Aella. Aella is 3 weeks older than Beau and is so darn cute! Joni and I had a great time talking about mommy things and enjoying each other's company...next time I'll bring my scrapping stuff!
Tomorrow night Gramma Richardson is going to watch Beau while Chuck and I go out for dinner and to a movie (maybe, we'll see if mom can be away that long!!!)
Christmas Eve we'll be fonduing at Carol's house- yummy!! Mom and dad will be at our house Christmas Day! We can't wait! I think dad and chuck are going to do some snowmobiling while mom and I (and beau) scrap. I can't wait to get started on his book!
Well, hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas!! Stay Warm!!

One month yesterday!

Well, yesterday Beau was 1 month old!! I can't believe how fast the month has gone! These past couple of weeks have been so busy! Last weekend we were in the cities for my baby shower that my family threw...the shower was awesome and it was so good to see everyone. My cousin Amy and her little girl Ally even made a special trip from Vegas! It was a very special day for us! We got a lot of really nice gifts too! I can't believe we were able to haul everything home in our car, but we did it!
We were in the cities until Tuesday so I've been playing catch up since we've been home. It all started Tuesday night when we got home...I started a load of laundry and found out the dryer had broke. It's only 25 years old so I can't imagine why...So needless to say we ended up going to Brainerd to shop for a new dryer and ended up buying a new dryer AND washer. They're a stackable combo and I'm so glad we bought both now. They had a set in so chuck went and picked them up the other day. But of course buying the stackable combo means another project :). We're going to paint our laundry area and add a closet organizer. I'm looking forward to having the extra laundry space and I actually don't mind doing laundry now with our new set...let's see how long that lasts! hahaha! It's more high tech than I'm used too. It plays a little chime when the load is done and it only takes 20 minutes to dry the clothes! Never thought washing clothes would be so exciting!
Beau has been so much more alert and has been showing us his little smile. He loves his mobile and laying on his tummy while we hold him. He's so darn cute! This morning he was smiling so much I couldn't believe it! I don't think it was gas related either! I can't believe he's already 1 month old!
We're staying in today and enjoying the snowfall. There's suppose to be a lot of snow coming our way! Bring it on! I'm sure chuck will run the snowmobiles later and I'm hoping to get a couple of Christmas decorations up around the house. Last night I made some yummy caramel corn (maggie's recipe) that is to die for so we'll be munching on that too.
Hope you all have a great week!
