4 months and 'rolling!'

Well, where should I start?

Last weekend Chuck and Eric were in the Grand Rapids Home Show and it seemed to go pretty well...I think everyone in the building industry right now is facing a challenge but with a new year and a new president, we can only be optimistic. The main idea was to get their name out there and network. All in all, the show was a success and it will hopefully lead to a couple of jobs or new builders in the future.

I'm sure you all saw my email on the Star Tribune Cutest Baby Contest....Thank you for all the votes! Beau received a lot of votes but he didn't make it to the semifinals...he's still the cutest baby in our eyes anyways!

Beau turned 4 months on Friday! He's learning new things everyday! We started feeding him cereal this past week and he loves it! Just a little before bed to carry him through the early morning cravings...so far it's seemed to work. For awhile there Beau had been waking up at 4am!We've also been practicing rolling from tummy to back and yesterday he did it all by himself! He was pretty happy and so were we! Gramma and Grampa Newman were here to see the action too! They came up for the day and spent the day with the little feller. They also brought a jumperoo for him (thank you tom and maggie!) and does he ever like it! He's still trying to figure it out but it's been keeping him occupied. (I attached a digital scrapbook below of our fun day)

Chuck made a trip to Menardo's this past week to pick up some sheet rock for the basement. We're going to finish the basement family room which we are very excited about! I think Chuck is looking forward to having a little project started too before he gets back to work. (yeah right!)

Where has the time went?

hello all! where has the time went these past few weeks? i guess i find myself asking that question a lot lately! these past couple of weeks have been pretty busy...last weekend chuck enjoyed some ice fishing with some family and friends (it was the last weekend to fish) so beau and i took a trip to the cities! i was a little nervous about the drive since it was snowing but we made it just fine. we were able to see A LOT of friends and beau was so good until Sunday- then the tiredness and fussiness set in! he was so tired he slept the whole way home and through the night- of course chuck and i were happy about this :)

this past week beau has been having fun in his new chair! he looks like such a big boy when he sits in it! he loves to look around and see what's going on all around him. he just loves it! he's been 'talking' quite a bit too! he's just full of stories! :)

Oh yeah, this past week chuck and i got new cellphones too! we broke down and finally bought some really nice ones (1900 called and wanted their phones back...) so me, chuck and eric (chuck's business partner) are all on the same phone plan now...i didn't do a lot of texting in the past but now that we have unlimited and i literally have a keyboard on my phone, don't be surprised if you get some texts from me- it's addicting. :)

today chuck and i went to a new church. it's a smaller church in grand rapids and we really enjoyed it- there were a lot of younger people there and everyone was so welcoming. beau was awesome too! he just took his bottle and didn't make a peep other than a few 'words'. other than that, today has been pretty much a lazy day at home. i was able to scrap a new page and chuck has been doing suduko...his new fav!

next weekend will be a busy one! chuck is in the home show in grand rapids so wish him luck! we're hoping the shows a success and he gets some great leads from it- if anything it gets his name out there. the show runs friday night (set up), saturday and sunday so we'll keep you posted!
